Freedom Socialist, is the official organ Freedom Socialist Party of the U.S. from 1966 through the 2015. Digitization of Freedom Socialist by the Freedom Socialist Party
The Freedom Socialist Party, founded in Seattle, Washington in 1966, issued two copies of a mimeographed newsletter publication in its first year. After a split over the issue of feminism, the party focused on development of its unique socialist feminist program, community organizing and national outreach. The party’s first tabloid format newspaper was launched in 1976 and records the FSP’s fundamental principles, history and political analysis of international upsurges and U.S. social movements. The paper was issued as a quarterly until moving to a bimonthly schedule in 2004. Issues since 1996 are available in a searchable archive at the FSP web site, here.
