An effort is being made to circulate in Australia in the English language the views of certain of the leaders of the Korean Workers’ Party. This is done particularly by the circulation in Australia of papers called Pyongyang Times and Peoples Korea. The latter is published in Japan.
This material uses words against revisionism. It even uses quite strong words. It even contains correct general statements against revisionism. But what it never does is to identify the chief centre of revisionism in the world—namely the Soviet revisionist clique. It is like condemning murder in general without ever naming the well-known murderers or bringing them to book. To do that is to protect the murderers. And this is the very purpose of these Korean documents.
The struggle against revisionism is a concrete specific struggle. It is a struggle aimed at a known target. That target is the Soviet revisionist clique. This clique is but the other arm of U.S. imperialism. No-one today seriously denies the alliance of U.S. imperialism and Soviet revisionism.
This North Korean clique lends itself to all the calls of the Soviet revisionist clique for so-called united socialist action in Vietnam. This so-called united socialist action is aimed at helping the Soviet revisionist clique more effectively to sell out the Vietnamese people. It is a fraud pure and simple. It is to let the chief collaborator with U.S. imperialism have a bigger say in the Vietnam question. It is to let one conspirator right into the house of the victim of the conspiracy so that he can let the other conspirator in.
Under the cover of general words against revisionism these persons in North Korea are actually serving the Soviet revisionist clique and the U.S. imperialists.
Their service takes the form, too, of attacks upon the Chinese Communists. True, they do not mention the Chinese Communists by name. But by clear implication, innuendo and insinuation they ceaselessly attack the splendid Marxism-Leninism of the Chinese Communists. They attack the highest development of Marxism-Leninism, the thought of Mao Tse-tung. They call it dogmatism. Lenin long ago pointed out that Marxism was not uncommonly assailed under the slogan of combatting dogmatism. The North Koreans do just that.
Why do they do it? Because basically they are revisionist. They hate Marxism-Leninism, the thought of Mao Tse-tung. They fear the U.S. imperialists, so they try to please them by attacking the Chinese Communists. This is in keeping with the cringing cowardice of all revisionists.
What makes it all the more disgusting is that almost half a million Chinese young men died in the struggle to throw the U.S. imperialists out of the northern part of Korea. The Chinese people gave selfless aid to Korea in its reconstruction. The Chinese Communists would be the last to raise such questions (they never event mention the matter) but no honest person can forget them.
The boasting bragging of the leader of this Korean clique that he was the first to combat revisionism looks very hollow in the light of facts.
The Korean people, however, will in the end call this clique to account and throw it into the rubbish bin of history.
No-one should be misled by the so-called anti-revisionism of this Korean clique. It is using the words of anti-revisionism to peddle the real revisionism of the Soviet revisionist clique. It is closely allied with the Miyamoto clique of the Japanese Communist Party. It has a close affinity too with the non-Marxist-Leninist Castro group in Cuba. It is no accident that those three have stepped up their circulation of foreign (including English) language material.
Pyongyang Times openly praises the Miyamoto revisionist clique in the Japanese Party. This clique attacks the Chinese Communists and Mao Tse-tung. It, too, peddles the line of the Soviet revisionist clique. It has recently reached “agreement” with the Aarons revisionist clique in Australia.
All this is but a division of revisionist labour. The Soviet revisionist clique pursues one line, the North Korean clique a slightly different line, the Miyamoto clique still another; Castro again a different line. But what they all have in common is revisionism.
Because such people have accumulated some political capital and have deceived honest people in the past (including us) the revelation of their true features is a gradual process. But events move so fast now that that revelation is speeded up. It is necessary for us to struggle against these people and revisionism in all its variations.
