He is a God that is not only well qualified of himself to plead his own Cause, but is also richly able to hire a Host of mercenary Advocates. If the Principles and Practices of Religion and Government of every Kind are freely and even rudely handled, shall the Principles and Practices of Landlordism which concerns us all more nearly than any Thing remain untouched? Forbid it Justice and Humanity. Forbid it Reason and Philosophy! The Day of Judgment is come and “the Axe is laid to the Root of the Tree, and every Tree therefore which bringeth not forth good Fruit shall be hewn down and cast into the Fire.”
